"Ashley sang at our wedding," Collins revealed to TODAY lifestyle contributor Jill Martin during an interview in Venice while promoting Season 5 of their hit Netflix series.
Park, a Tony-nominated performer, shared her perspective, saying, "It was for a really meaningful part of the ceremony, and that was probably the most nervous and honored I’ve ever been."
Collins added, "Her voice was absolutely stunning."
Their friendship has flourished over the years, with Park witnessing major life events for Collins, from the beginning of her relationship with her now-husband to becoming a mother.
"I saw her get engaged, then she got married, and now she’s a mom. So for me, I can’t believe we get to do this. And yes, we’re in Venice, but it’s really cool to do with your best friend," Park told Martin.
Collins felt an immediate connection with Park, describing it as "a magnetic experience right away — like soul sistership right off the bat."
Sharing the success of 'Emily in Paris' with her best friend has made the journey even sweeter for Collins.
"When you’re doing it with a best friend and like a sister, it becomes a life experience that I don’t think we were expecting back then," she said. "It's more than just a show. It’s like this has been our lives for six years, and we’ve gone through so many ups and downs together that this feels like a celebration of not only just like a fifth season, but of the sisterhood, and that’s really special."
"We feel so grounded with each other," Park added.
Their bond is so profound that they share an almost inexplicable connection.
"We always start crying when we get emotional because if (Park) feels something, I feel it. It’s very strange," Collins explained.
Park added, "You were in Copenhagen, like last week, and we were talking about something. I can feel any sort of emotion from her and vice versa. And we feel it even from across the world."
