We were fortunate enough to be among the first to experience the renovated Napa Rose, and let me tell you, it was an evening to remember! The warm and welcoming atmosphere, combined with the knowledge and passion of the Cast Members, made us feel right at home.
A Fine Dining Introduction
General Manager Nicholas Hockman shared an insightful perspective: Napa Rose is often a guest's first fine dining experience, and the team strives to create an elegant yet approachable ambiance. And they've certainly achieved that! If you're new to the world of fine dining, Napa Rose is the perfect gateway, offering a refined yet comfortable setting.
The Cast Members' Dedication
A testament to the love and dedication of the Cast Members, 100% of them returned after the restaurant's nine-month closure. We had the pleasure of being served by Wendy, a veteran server who has been with Napa Rose since its opening. Her warmth, expertise, and deep knowledge of the restaurant made our experience truly special.
The Newly Renovated Space
Inspired by Northern Californian Arts and Crafts, the redesigned space pays homage to the colors and textures of Napa Valley. From the beautiful chandelier modeled after the Mission Vine to the wooden columns and vineyard-inspired mural, every detail adds to the warm and inviting atmosphere.
For an exclusive experience, guests can dine at the Chef's Counter, offering a unique view of the exhibition kitchen. The newly renovated bar and lounge provide a cozy setting with a new fireplace and alfresco dining on the outdoor patio. The private dining room, reminiscent of a wine cellar, is perfect for intimate gatherings.
A Refreshing Menu
The menu has been reimagined to showcase seasonal ingredients and an ingredient-driven philosophy. Each cocktail tells a story, inspired by California's history and landmarks. The extensive wine program boasts over 13,000 bottles, including rare selections.
Our meal began with a Signature Mushroom Cappuccino, a savory amuse-bouche that set the tone for a delightful evening. The Sauteéd Seasonal Fish with lobster toast was a light and flavorful delight, followed by the American Wagyu N.Y., a perfectly tender slice of meat. The Sorpesine Pasta with California Crab broth was a creamy delight, paired expertly with a crisp Chardonnay.
The Sustainable Fish of the Day, a Swordfish dish, impressed even the most discerning palates, while the Roasted Boneless Colorado Rack of Lamb was a juicy and tender masterpiece. For dessert, the Elevated Valhrona Chocolate Bar was a fine dining take on a candy bar, a true masterpiece.
